Member of the Shura Council, First Legislative Term (2021–2025). Reappointed as a Member of the Shura Council in the Second Legislative Term pursuant to Amiri Decision No. (42) of 2025, issued on 9 October 2025. Has participated in various Council committees; currently serves as Chairman of the Legal and Legislative Affairs Committee, and Member of the Committee on Education, Culture, Youth, Sports and Media.

Mr. Al-Maadheed has held several senior leadership positions, including: Director of the Environmental Affairs Department at the Ministry of Municipality and Agriculture.
Secretary-General of the Supreme Council for the Environment and Natural Reserves.
Executive Director of the Qatar Red Crescent Society.
Director of the Office of the Personal Representative of His Highness the Amir.
He has chaired and participated in numerous regional and international conferences related to environmental protection. He has also taken part in many historical seminars, and has authored several academic papers on Qatar’s political and social history, in addition to multiple contributions in this field.
