Parliamentary Career

  Member of the Shura Council, First Legislative Term (2021–2025).
  Reappointed as a Member of the Shura Council in the Second Legislative Term pursuant to Amiri Decision No. (42) of 2025, issued on 9 October 2025.
  Has served on several Council committees; he currently serves as Vice Chairman of the Financial and Economic Affairs Committee.
  Elected Vice President of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly and Chairman of the Standing Committee on Budget and Planning for the second time, during the voting session held on the sidelines of the 15th General Assembly of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly in Baku, Azerbaijan, February 2025.

Professional Experience

  Mr. Al-Hitmi has worked extensively in the energy and petrochemical sector. He progressed from Production Operations Engineer to holding various departmental managerial positions, and later served as Chief Executive Officer of Al-Seef Limited, a subsidiary of Qatar Petroleum.
