The Shura Council Holds its Weekly Regular Meeting

The Shura Council held today its regular weekly meeting under the chairmanship of H.E. Mr. Mohammed Bin Abdulla Al- Sulaiti, Deputy Speaker of the Council.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Council reviewed the Note of the General Secretariat of the Cabinet on Shura Council's recommendations on a Draft Law on Supporting the Competitiveness of National Products and Combat Harmful Practices Affect Them in International Trade. The Note included the visions of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry's on Shura’s recommendations on the Draft Law referred to.

The Council also reviewed the Note of the General Secretariat of the Cabinet on the Shura's recommendations on the Request for a General Debate by a number of members of the Council on the Achievement of the National Plan for Food Security. The Note included the Cabinet's decision to refer the recommendations of the Shura Council to the Ministry of Public Health, the Ministry of Municipality and Environment and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry so that these ministries will examine the recommendations and submit the reports to the Cabinet.

The Shura Council expressed thanks and appreciation to the esteemed Government for its keenness and response to its recommendation in this regard and the measures it has taken.

At the end of its meeting, the Council was briefed on the report by its delegation participating in the Parliamentary Conference on the Occasion of Adopting the Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration held in the Moroccan capital, Rabat.
