Speaker of the Shura Meets President of Senate in Burundi

H. E. Mr. Ahmed Bin Abdulla Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud, the Speaker of the Shura Council met today with H. E. Mr. Révérien Ndikuriyo, the President of the Senate of the Republic of Burundi and the accompanying delegation.
During the meeting they discussed cooperation relations between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Burundi and the ways of bolstering and developing them, particularly in the parliamentary area. The meeting also reviewed number of topics of common interest.
His Excellency the President of the Senate of the Republic of Burundi congratulated His Excellency the Speaker of the Shura Council on the success of the meetings of the 140th, General Assembly of the IPU held in Doha, under His Excellency’s stewardship last April, stressing that what has been achieved during these meetings is considered a milestone in the career of the IPU.
The meeting was attended by H. E. Mr. Mohamed Bin Mansour Al-Shahwani, the member of the Qatari- African Friendship Group in the Shura Council.
