Shura Council Holds Regular Weekly Meeting

The Shura Council held today its regular weekly meeting at its headquarters, through video conference. The meeting was chaired by His Excellency Mr. Ahmed bin Abdulla bin Zaid Al Mahmoud, the Speaker of the Council.
During the meeting, the Council discussed the situation of small and medium-sized companies in the light of support declared by His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the of the State of Qatar, "May Allah Protects him" during the beginning of the Corona pandemic to help them overcome the difficulties they faced due to the pandemic.
A number of members spoke at the meeting praising the successful economic policies of the government and reviewed the challenges faced by these companies and possible solutions to them, to enable them play an important role in bolstering the national economy.
After the discussions, the Council decided to refer the matter to its Financial and Economic Affairs Committee for further consideration, and studies and to submit its report thereon to the Council.
