Speaker of Shura Council Meets Parliamentary Officials

HE Speaker of the Shura Council Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud, met today with HE Chairman of Global Organization of Parliamentarians Against Corruption, Dr Fadli Zon, on the sidelines of the works of the 7th Global Conference of Parliamentarians Against Corruption currently held in Doha.

During the meeting, the relations of parliamentary cooperation between the Shura Council and the Global Organization of Parliamentarians Against Corruption and ways of enhancing them were reviewed.

HE the Shura Council Speaker also met with HE Secretary General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Martin Chung, on the occasion of His Excellency's participation in the conference.

During the meeting, the relations of parliamentary cooperation between the Shura Council and the Inter-Parliamentary Union were reviewed.

His Excellency met with HE President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Mali Issaka Sidibe, and his accompanying delegation, on the sidelines of the conference.

During the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed, according to which the two parties agreed to enhance parliamentary cooperation to strengthen the bonds of friendship between the Qatari Shura Council and the National Assembly of the Republic of Mali.

On the sidelines of the conference, HE Speaker of the Shura Council met with HE President of the Senate of the Federal Republic of Somalia Abdi Hashi Abdi.

HE Speaker of the Shura Council also met with HE Vice President of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Rwanda Musa Fadel.

The two meetings reviewed the relations of cooperation in the parliamentary field between the State of Qatar and the Federal Republic of Somalia and the Republic of Rwanda and ways to enhance them, and discussed the most important topics on the agenda of the conference.
