Chaired by Shura Council, IPU's Committee on Peace, International Security Holds Meeting

The Standing Committee on Peace and International Security of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) held a meeting Thursday chaired by HE Committee President and Shura Council member Mohammed bin Mahdi Al Ahbabi.
During the meeting, held within the work of the 145th IPU Assembly in the Rwandan capital, Kigali, the committee discussed a number of issues related to regional and global peace and security operations.
The meeting also discussed the impact of war and the atrocities committed against civilians, and the issue of war and climate change as causes of global food insecurity.
As part of the meeting, a hearing was held with experts on the topic of cyber-attacks and cybercrime as new threats to global security.
