The Shura Council State of Qatar

 The Shura Council held Monday its regular weekly meeting, under the chairpersonship of HE Speaker of the Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim.

At the outset of the session, HE Secretary-General of the Shura Council Dr. Ahmed bin Nasser Al Fadhala read out the agenda of the session. The minutes of the previous session were ratified.
During the session, the Council reviewed a report presented by HE Member of the Shura Council Mohammed bin Mahdi Al Ahbabi, pertaining to his visit to Ukraine during the period of Feb. 6-8 within the delegation of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, as Chairperson of the Permanent Committee on Peace and International Security of the Union.

The Council also reviewed a report on the participation of its delegation in the third meeting of the second session of the third legislative term of the Arab Parliament, and the meetings of the permanent committees of the Parliament, which were held in Cairo during the period of Feb. 20-23.

The Council commended the important role played by the Inter-Parliamentary Union and the Permanent Committee on Peace and International Security within their endeavors to achieve international peace and security, hailing the delegation's participation in the Arab Parliament session and other associated meetings.
