The Shura Council State of Qatar

H. E. Mr. Ahmed Bin Abdulla Bin Zaid Al-Mahmoud, the Speaker of the Shura Council met today with H. E. Mr. Li Chen, the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China and H. E. Mr. Syed Ahsan Raza Shah, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the State of Qatar.

During the meetings discussed the bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and the People's Republic of China and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the ways to bolster and develop them, particularly in the parliamentary area. The meetings reviewed a number of topics of common interest.

The Chinese Ambassador and the Pakistani Ambassador praised the great success of the Meetings of the140^th, General Assembly of the IPU held in Doha last April under the chairmanship of His Excellency the Speaker of the Council and of the arrangements and organization which had a major impact in achieving this success.

The meetings were attended by a number officials of the Shura Council.
