Shura Council Participates in Parliamentary Conference

The Shura Council participated on Thursday in the parliamentary conference organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) under the title: 'Parliaments and the United Nations: The Way Forward'. The conference was held via video conference technology.
Discussions during the conference focused on how cooperation between the United Nations and the IPU can be enhanced for more effective implementation of international commitments in peace building, sustainable development, democracy and human rights.
The Shura Council was represented at this conference by Council Member HE Nasser bin Khalil Al Jaida.
