The Shura Council State of Qatar

HE Speaker of the Shura Council Ahmed bin Abdullah bin Zaid Al Mahmoud met with HE President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Gabriela Barron, on the sidelines of His Excellency's participation in a parliamentary hearing at the United Nations headquarters in New York, held under the title (Education as a Key to Peace and Sustainable Development: Toward The Implementation of SDG 4).

During the meeting, they reviewed the cooperation relations between the Shura Council and the Inter-Parliamentary Union, as well as issues of mutual interest, especially with regard to cooperation in the parliamentary and legislative areas.

HE the Speaker of the Shura Council also met with HE Secretary-General of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Martin Chungong, on the sidelines of His Excellency's participation in the parliamentary hearing which concluded in New York on Tuesday.

During the meeting, they reviewed the parliamentary cooperation between the Shura Council and the Inter-Parliamentary Union, and ways of developing it.
