Shura Council Participates in Meetings of Permanent Committees of Arab Parliament

 The Shura Council participated in the third meeting of the second session of the third legislative term of the permanent committees of the Arab Parliament in Cairo.


The Council participated in the meeting of the Committee on Social, Educational, Cultural, Women and Youth Affairs of the Arab Parliament, represented by HE Sheikha bint Yousuf Al Jufairi, Member of the Arab Parliament.


During the meeting, a draft Arab indicative law for the protection of the Arabic language was reviewed, as well as work developments in a number of topics, including the preparation of a report on the social situation in the Arab world, the committee's support for the Middle East Green Initiative, the launch of a document for the development of education in the Arab world, and a draft law to combat violence against women.


The Shura Council also participated in the meeting of the Economic and Financial Affairs Committee of the Arab Parliament, where the Council was represented by HE Issa bin Ahmed Al Nasr, Member of the Arab Parliament.


A number of topics related to economic integration between Arab countries and the role of the private sector in promoting intra-regional trade were discussed, and an Arab guiding law in the field of artificial intelligence was reviewed.


The Shura Council also participated in the meeting of the Legislative and Legal Affairs and Human Rights Committee, where the Council was represented by HE Salem bin Rashid Al Muraikhi, Member of the Arab Parliament.


A number of topics related to the human rights situation in the Arab world were discussed, and the preparation of an Arab guide to developing the prison system and rehabilitation centers in the Arab countries was reviewed, in addition to other topics centered on legislation, laws and human rights in the Arab world.


The Shura Council also participated in the meeting of the Arab Parliament's Committee for Foreign, Political and National Security Affairs, where the Shura Council was represented by HE Hamad bin Abdulla Al Mulla, Member of the Arab Parliament.


The political and security developments in the Arab world were discussed during the last period, and a memorandum on the preparation of a guiding law on legalizing the use of drones in the Arab world was reviewed.
