The Shura Council State of Qatar

Shura Speaker H. E. Mr. Ahmed bin Abdulla bin Zaid Al Mahmoud, met today with the delegation of the Turkish-Qatari Parliamentary Friendship Group headed by H.E. Wahid Keller, President of the Group.

   During the meeting, parliamentary relations between the Shura Council and the Grand National Assembly of the sisterly Republic of Turkey were reviewed and ways of bolstering, and developing them were explored. The meeting also discussed coordinating between the two sides on regional and international forums, as well as a number of topics of common interest. 

During the meeting, H.E. the Speaker of the Shura Council praised the great development the Qatar-Turkey relations witnessed in various fields, expressing his aspiration for more cooperation between the two countries during the next phase for the benefit of their two brotherly peoples.

On his part, H.E. Wahid Keller expressed his great satisfaction with the level of close cooperation and mutual understanding the bilateral relations between the two countries reached.

       The meeting was attended by H.E. Rashid bin Hamad Al-Meadadi, Chairman of the Qatar-Asia Parliamentary Friendship Group, a number of members of the Group, and H.E. Mr. Fikret Özer, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the Qatar.
