Shura Council Participates in Launching of Non-Aligned Movement's Parliamentary Network

The Shura Council participated in the event that was held today for the official launch of the Non-Aligned Movement's Parliamentary Network, on the sidelines of the 143rd General Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), currently held in Madrid.
The Council was represented in the event by HE Nasser bin Mohammad Al Juffali Al Nuaimi, HE Nasser bin Hassan bin Dandoun Al Kubaisi, members of the Shura Council, and in the presence of HE Speaker of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova, where the Republic of Azerbaijan will host the Non-Aligned Movement's Parliamentary Network representing 120 countries.
HE President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union Duarte Pacheco, HE Secretary-General of the Union Martin Chungong, and a number of Parliament Speakers and heads of parliamentary delegations participating in the work of the General Assembly were also present.
The event also witnessed a number of speeches being delivered on the issue of expanding cooperation within the Non-Aligned Movement by promoting and preserving the values of pluralism, as well as ways to expand cooperation with parliamentarians of the member states of the movement.
