The Shura Council State of Qatar

HE Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim met separately on Monday with HE President of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Duarte Pacheco and HE President of the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament Senator Silvia del Rosario Giacoppo, on the sidelines of the inauguration of the third Counter-Terrorism Coordination Meeting and Policy Dialogue on Border Security, held in Doha and organized by the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT) and the Doha-based Program Office on Parliamentary Engagement in cooperation with the Shura Council of the State of Qatar.

During the two meetings, they discussed efforts to counter-terrorism and coordination mechanism in this field and Shura Council's support for these efforts. They also discussed relations of parliamentarian cooperation between the Shura Council, IPU, and the Latin American and Caribbean Parliament and ways to strengthen them. They reviewed the main topics listed on the meeting's agenda.

The meetings were attended by a number of Their Excellencies members of the Shura Council.
