The Shura Council State of Qatar

The Financial and Economic Affairs Committee of the Shura Council held a meeting today, under the Chairmanship of H.E. Engineer Ahmad bin Hitmi AL-Hitmi, Chairman of the Committee.

During the meeting, the Committee continued its discussion of a draft law amending some provisions of the Customs Act promulgated by Law No. (40) of 2002. During the meeting, the Committee hosted H.E. Mr. Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Jamal, Chairman of the General Customs Authority, and Mr. Abdulaziz Mubarak Al-Bouainin, Director of the Legislation Department at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, and Mr. Abdulaziz Trad Al-Hathal Director of the Legal Affairs Department of the General Customs Authority, who responded to the committee’s questions and inquiries about a number of axes subject to amendment in the aforementioned draft law, and decided to submit its report thereon to the Council.
